Year 2/Year 3 Apprentice Welder or Steel Fabricator

Apprentice will work in custom metal fabrication shop.
GMAW/FCAW/MCAW welding processes.
Some site work may be required.
Location of shop is in Dalmeny, Class 5 and means of commuting is required.

Duties and responsibilities
Weld, fabricate, fit/tack steel weldments, using various welding techniques and procedures.
Operate drill press, power saws, grinders, and a varitety of welding equipment and hand tools.
Must be able to pass GMAW and MCAW CWB Flat and horizontal.
Analilize plans, drawings and task specifications

Qualifications
Must be eligible to continue education with a goal to obtain a redseal.
Prior experience in metal fabrication is an asset
Knowledge of welding techniques, tools and equipment
Use proper safety and protective equipment utilized during welding assignments.
Safety orientated.
